When RodeoH came out with their first harness that simply looked like a pair of briefs, I fell in love with them. Their new boxers are no exception. Made of the same soft and comfy material, these boxers could be just what you’re looking for, in terms of harness play or packing.

Packaging

My RodeoH Harness came in a discreet envelope and was wrapped in a cellophane bag that was carefully tucked inside a soft drawstring bag, along with a necklace that had a dog tag stamped with “RodeoH” on it.

I found the tag on the pouch rather interesting:

“We apologize in advance if you can never get it on without us again.”

The reverse side of the tag has a little blurb about the product and general care information:

Like any pair of underwear, rodeoHs will not last forever, but you can increase their longevity by treating them with care. Machine or hand wash and hang to dry. Do not boil. Do not eat. Please rodeoH responsibly!

Don’t eat it? Well, I can’t say that thought had crossed my mind, so I think it’s safe from ending up in my stomach…

Material

95% cotton, 5% spandex

The material is very soft and stretches easily. I’ve had no issues with itching or chaffing.

Sizing

The RodeoH Harness Boxers will fit hips from a size of 23-41” around. There are 7 different sizes. Measure your hips first, then choose the size according to that measurement.

Since my hips are about 31”, I went with size 30-32. To my surprise, the band does seem a little loose on me.

Measurements with Harness Laid Flat

• Unstretched Band is 13.5”
• Band Stretches to 22”
• Length from Band to Crotch is 9”
• Length from Band to Bottom of Leg is 9.5”
• Leg Opening Unstretched is about 9”
• Leg Opening Stretched is 14”

Construction

The construction looks professional and sturdy with no loose ends, tears or bits left unsewn. The elastic band is about 1.5” in width, and doesn’t seem as though it will lose its elasticity anytime soon.

 

Inside, you can see the panel that closes off the o-ring, when not in use, making the boxers into a regular pair of underwear. This pouch also acts as a barrier to prevent packers, or the bases of harness-compatible dildos, from sticking to the skin of the wearer. If using this harness for sex, you could attempt to insert a small vibrator in this pocket, although it will most likely push into your pelvic area with every thrust.

The o-ring is fairly solid, and will only stretch a very small bit. It can’t be switched out for o-rings of varying sizes either. It’s best to stick to dildos with a diameter of 1 1/4"-2". A diameter of 2” can be trying to squeeze through the o-ring, but it can be done.

Fit

The RodeoH Harness requires a snug fit, so you’ll need to keep that in mind when ordering. Although my 31” hips suggested size 30-32, it’s just a smidge loose. If I were to order another pair, I’d probably choose a size down.

I did manage to squeeze my Tantus Luke O2 (Review of the Tantus Luke O2 Dildo) through the o-ring, but it made the harness sag, and the dildo didn’t look perky. For me, the perfect toy in this harness is the Tantus Realdoe (Review of the Tantus Realdoe), which is featured in the photos above. Not only does it stay up and look great in the harness, I also get some vaginal stimulation.

Comfort

The RodeoH Harness Boxers are insanely comfy, to the point where I’ll just wear them for lounging around, whether I plan on using them or not. The material is so soft, and they’re so comfortable it’s like barely having anything on. The only problem I have is that the legs ride up, but that could be because I need a bit smaller size.

Unlike most traditional harnesses, you can wear this one under your clothes as normal underwear and be ready when the time is right, so long as you have a dildo handy.

Packing

Of course, I had to see how my little Soft Pack (Review of the Soft Pack Mini) looked and felt in this. The pouch holds onto the scrotum of this packer nicely, and keeps it away from my skin to prevent that sticky, sweaty feeling. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how this would look in a pair of pants, because all of mine are too tight to allow room for a packer.

Running around the house like a nut in this really isn’t the greatest of ideas. The top edge of the packer ended up freeing itself from the o-ring.

This could be remedied with a slightly larger packer (since I’m a small gal and have the smallest Soft Pack available), or, it would be nice if the o-ring were more elastic to grip the little shaft better.

Strap-on

With a strapless strap-on, the boxers are great. It’s basically like having sex with your partner with your underwear still on. It provides some extra stability to the strapless strap-on, and is nice and comfy.

With harness-compatible dildos, I’m not as pleased with the RodeoH Harness Boxers as I was with the original Rodeoh Harness Briefs. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re just a smidge loose, but harness-compatible dildos tend to droop and move around a little on me, at least the bigger ones do, which are the majority of my collection. Smaller dildos such as the Rainbow Amor Dildo work decently, though.

Lubes

All I’m going to say is if it stains fabric, it’s going to stain this harness, so be careful. It’s best to stay away from anything oil-based or silicone-based, if you’re going to lube the dildo up that you plan on using in this harness.

Cleaning

The cleaning instructions are printed on a small tag inside the harness. Machine wash cold (I prefer to hand wash) and hang to dry. Do not iron, use bleach, or stick it in the dryer.

Opinion

The Rodeoh Harness Boxers are soft, comfortable, easy to wash, double as a regular pair of underwear, and give me the option to strap-on at the drop of a hat. I’m pretty sure most of the reason that this harness is better with strapless strap-ons than with harness-compatible dildos is because it isn’t as snug as it could be on me. However, it’s something to keep in mind, if you plan on purchasing one.

So, my briefs come in first for packing, strapless strap-ons, and harness compatible dildos. The boxers are probably going to be best, for me, for packing and strapless strap-ons.
